This is a 392 sq. km
park with a spectacular background of Africa's highest
peak; Mt. Kilimanjaro which broods on the southern end
of the park. Animals are easy to spot in this park and
you stand the best chance of seeing the black rhino.
Amboseli also has a large concentration of Elephant and
such other game as lion, Buffalo, Gazelle, Cheetah,
wildebeest, Hyena, Jackal, Monkey, Masai giraffe, Zebra
and Baboon. Animals are seen on much of the route to the
park, which crosses archer plains where Masai tend their
cattle in an age-old tradition. For an aerial view of
the mountain and the plains, take a micro light flight.
SRTS 006: 3 DAYS AMBOSELI
DAY 1: NAIROBI / AMBOSELI:
Depart at 0930 hrs and drive south through vast Maasai
country, Via Namanga Border town then on to Amboseli
National Park. Picnic Lunch is served enroute. Arrive in
the Camp/Lodge late afternoon and settle down. Proceed
for afternoon game drive to see Rhino, Giraffe, Lion,
Elephant and many more with Mt. Kilimanjaro (Africa's
highest peak) providing a beautiful background. Dinner
and overnight at the Camp/Lodge.
DAY 2 : AMBOSELI:
Early morning game drive from 0630 hrs before breakfast.
Return to Camp/Lodge for breakfast and thereafter
proceed for another game drive until lunch. After lunch,
continue with yet another game drive till evening when
you return for dinner and overnight at the Camp/Lodge.
DAY 3: AMBOSELI / NAIROBI:
Early morning game viewing and return to the Camp/Lodge
for breakfast. After breakfast leave Camp/Lodge for game
viewing enroute back to Nairobi arriving Nairobi is in
the afternoon where you will be dropped at your town
hotel.
SRTS 010: 4 DAYS AMBOSELI - TSAVO
DAY 1: NAIROBI / AMBOSELI
Depart Nairobi at 0800 hrs and head south towards
Namanga to Amboseli national park arriving in time for
lunch. Afternoon game viewing to see different animals
and Kilimanjaro at the backdrop. Dinner and overnight at
the Camp/Lodge.
DAY 2: AMBOSELI
Morning and afternoon game viewing to see the animals
which include, black Rhino, Lion, Buffalo, Gazelle,
Cheetah, Wildebeest, Hyena, Jackal, Monkey, Masai
giraffe, Zebra and Baboon.
Amboseli has a large number of Elephants and many
different species of birds. All meals and overnight at
the Camp/Lodge.
DAY 3:AMBOSELI / TSAVO
After breakfast depart for Tsavo West with game viewing
enroute, arriving Tsavo in time for lunch. Afternoon
game viewing takes you to Mzima Springs which is a fresh
water source and a favorite haunt for Hippos and
Crocodiles. Climbing Chaimu Crater gives stunning views
from either side of the dense vegetation of the park.
Animals seen in the park include Zebras, Leopards,
Lions, and Elephants that tend to hide in the thickets.
The birds include the eagles, buzzards, falcons and
red-beaked Hornbills.
Dinner and overnight at the Camp/Lodge.
DAY 4: TSAVO / NAIROBI
Early morning game viewing followed by breakfast. After
breakfast, depart Tsavo for Mombasa, the driver will
drop you at Mtoto Andei where he will assist you board a
bus to Mombasa arriving in the afternoon.
