SRTS 027 : 10 DAYS KENYA - TANZANIA SAFARI
This safari features the open plains of the Masai Mara
famous for its annual migration of Wildebeests and
Zebras, the waters of Lake Nakuru home to millions of
lesser and greater Flamingos. Amboseli game viewing with
Mount Kilimanjaro in the backdrop is a unique experience
not to be missed. All meals and overnight at the
Camp/Lodge.
ARRIVAL DAY IN NAIROBI
On arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport
transfer to the Hotel where you spend the night on a bed
and breakfast basis. Depending on the time your flight
arrives the rest of the day is at leisure.
DAY 1: NAIROBI - MASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE
After breakfast depart Nairobi for Maasai Mara National
Reserve. Game drive en-route to the Camp/Lodge. Lunch is
served on arrival, followed by an afternoon game drive
through the reserve to this endless reaches of
acacia-dotted grasslands studded with hazy hills where
pride of Lions, Elephants, buffalos, zebras and numerous
plain game animals are in abundance. Return for dinner
at the Camp/Lodge and relax in comfort.
DAY 2: MASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE
Morning game viewing with a long drive to the Mara River
where you will be able to view Hippos and Crocodiles.
After having your Box lunch, afternoon game drive till
late in the evening when you drive back for dinner and
overnight at the Camp/Lodge.
DAY 3: LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast you'll be driven to Lake Nakuru in time
for lunch followed by an afternoon game drive. Lake
Nakuru is a soda lake and is home to the Greater and
Lesser Flamingos. At times you may see a lion crawling
on the waters edge, or if you are a bird lover you will
spot different bird species. Overnight at a budget hotel
or Lodge.
DAY4: NAKURU - AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK
Depart early in the morning towards Amboseli stopping
off for lunch and game viewing on the way. Amboseli is
famous for its unforgettable views of Kilimanjaro, and a
relaxed abundant population of elephants as well as
prolific bird life. Overnight at the Camp/Lodge.
DAY 5: AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast depart for a full day game drive where
Mount Kilimanjaro background offers a good photographic
scenery coupled with animals on the ground. All meals
and overnight at the Camp/Lodge.
DAY 6: AMBOSELI - NAMANGA - ARUSHA
Pre-breakfast game drive. After breakfast game drive
enroute to Namanga border point. Board shuttle bus at
1030hrs for drive to Arusha where you arrive at 1330hrs.
Overnight at Arusha.
DAY 7: ARUSHA - LAKE MANYARA.
Depart from Arusha at 09:30hrs for Lake Manyara arriving
in good time for lunch. After Lunch explore Lake Manyara
National Park which covers an area of only 318 sq km its
terrain is so diverse that its mammal and bird lists are
most impressive. The park includes much of Lake Manyara,
some 60 km (38 miles) long as well as the Rift Valley
escarpment.
The park is well known for its tree-climbing lions,
which can be found lazing on branches of the acacia
trees. In addition there are good numbers of elephants,
big herd of buffalo and plenty of Leopard. The lake is a
favorite place for pink flamingos and wading birds in
general. This area is home to the Masai people whom you
will see as you pass through the villages. Dinner and
overnight at the Twiga Campsite or Lodge.
DAY 8: LAKE MANYARA - NGORONGORO
After early breakfast, depart for Ngorongoro Crater with
game drive enroute; where you descend 2000ft for a
fascinating game drive on the Crater floor. In a
landscape reminiscent of the volcanic upheavals of the
Rift Valley, the world's largest unbroken, un flooded
volcanic caldera (collapsed cone of a volcano) covers
300 sq km In this restricted space, exceptional climatic
conditions have favored an explosion of animal life.
Some 20,000 great mammals are permanently in residence,
as there are permanent water springs, there is no need
to migrate. Picnic lunch is served. Enjoy game viewing
at the crater until late in the afternoon when you
ascend back to the Simba Campsite or Lodge for dinner
and overnight.
DAY 9: NGORONGORO - TARANGIRE/ARUSHA
After breakfast depart for Tarangire which has permanent
water in the park, the Tarangire River. This is the best
place in Tanzania to see really big herds of Elephants
of up to 300 at a time on safari. After lunch drive back
to Arusha. On your arrival you will be dropped at Arusha
Centre Inn for overnight.
DAY 10: ARUSHA – NAIROBI
After breakfast board shuttle bus at 0730hrs. Depart
Arusha at 0800hrs for drive back to Nairobi where you
arrive at 1330hrs. On arrival you will be dropped at
your hotel or at the airport in time for your flight.

SRTS 028 : 10 DAYS AMBOSELI -
LAKE MANYARA - NGORONGORO - SERENGETI - TARANGIRE
DAY 1: NAIROBI - AMBOSELI
Depart at 0930 hrs and drive south through vast Maasai
country, Via Namanga Border town then on to Amboseli
National Park. Picnic Lunch is served enroute. Arrive in
the camp late afternoon and settle down. Proceed for
afternoon game drive to see Rhino, Giraffe, Lion,
Elephant and many more with Mt. Kilimanjaro (Africa's
highest peak) providing a beautiful background. Dinner
and overnight at the Lodge.
DAY 2: AMBOSELI
Early morning game drive from 0630 hrs before breakfast.
Return to Camp/Lodge for breakfast and thereafter
proceed for another game drive until lunch. After lunch,
continue with game viewing till evening when you return
for Dinner and overnight at the Camp/Lodge.
DAY 3: AMBOSELI - ARUSHA
Pre-breakfast game drive. After Breakfast leave lodge
for the game drive enroute back to Namanga. Board
shuttle bus at 1030hrs to arrive in Arusha at 1300hrs
and overnight at a hotel in Arusha.
DAY 4: ARUSHA - TARANGIRE
Depart Arusha for Tarangire National Park. Tarangire
(pronounced as Taa-raa-nghee-reh) National Park is one
of the few national parks in Tanzania, who flora and
fauna have not been elaborately described to prospective
guest, making the park being overlooked and skipped
during the Tanzania's northern circuit safaris. Game
drive and Picnic Lunch will be
served in the Park. Throughout the year there are always
a fantastic number of colorful birds swooping and
strutting along the rough paths in front of your
vehicle, with likely spots including the Paradise Whyder
and endearing Yellow-collared lovebirds. Tarangire is a
great spot for elephant gatherings at the end of the
rainy season in June, and zebra and wildebeest return
together through July. Dinner and overnight at the
Camp/Lodge.
DAY 5: TARANGIRE - SERENGETI PARK
After breakfast, leave Tarangire for Serengeti with
lunch en route. On arrival, proceed for a game drive.
The park covers 12,944km2 of open plains making it one
of the largest in the world. The rocky outcrops commonly
known as Moru kopjes in the eastern part of the park are
of scenic beauty and occasionally cats can be seen
lazing on them. The park contains vast herds of
wildebeest, zebra, gazelle and other antelopes. Dinner
and overnight at
the Seronera Campsite/Lodge.
DAY 6: FULL DAY SERENGETI
Morning and afternoon game drives in the Serengeti with
a lunch and leisure break at the camp in the mid
afternoon. The term Serengeti means endless plains in
Maasai language. In the central plains there are
carnivores like leopard, lion, hyena and cheetah. This
park is normally the scene of the annual migration of
wildebeest and zebra that occurs between the Kenyan Mara
and the Serengeti. Varied bird species can be seen here
including eagles,
ducks, geese, egrets, vultures, secretary birds, ibis,
stork, herons, kites, pelicans, cranes and guinea fowl.
Dinner and overnight at the Seronera Campsite/Lodge.
DAY 7: SERENGETI - NGORONGORO
After breakfast, depart Serengeti and drive to
Ngorongoro Crater. Game drive and Picnic Lunch en route
to Ngorongoro Simba Campsite/Lodge for dinner and
overnight.
DAY 8: NGORONGORO - LAKE MANYARA
Breakfast at around 0600am. Take Picnic Lunch with you
and drive fifteen minutes to the Ngorongoro Crater floor
for the Game drive. View the various resident animals on
the crater floor. The largest unbroken caldera in the
world, Ngorongoro has an area of 260 kilometers and a
depth of 610 meters. The crater provides a protected
habitat for thousands of mammals and birds. The entire
day is spent on the crater floor viewing lion, hyena,
wildebeest, zebra, black rhinoceros, and many species of
small antelopes.
This is one of the natural wonders of the world. Picnic
Lunch in the Crater. Afternoon at before 0430pm you will
drive to Twiga Campsite/Lodge for dinner and overnight.
DAY 9: LAKE MANYARA - ARUSHA
Depart for Lake Manyara, the old Hunter's paradise. This
is home to the famous tree climbing lions which you are
however not guaranteed to see. On the Lake shore you
will find thousands of flamingoes and other water birds
conducting their daily business amongst the hippos.
After a lunch break at the camp you continue viewing
Lake Manyara Park famous for its tree climbing lions and
large flocks of flamingoes. The park contains five
distinct vegetation zones and is of scenic beauty.
Branch breakfast at the Campsite/Lodge
and drive back to Arusha for overnight at your hotel.
DAY 10: ARUSHA - NAIROBI
After breakfast board shuttle bus at 0730hrs. Depart
Arusha at 0800hrs for drive back to Nairobi where you
arrive at 1330hrs. On arrival you will be dropped at
your hotel or at the airport in time for your flight.

After breakfast depart for Lake Nakuru via Nairobi.
Arrive in Nakuru for lunch. Afternoon game driver. To
see flamingoes in there thousands, in this lake also
called the pink lake. Lake Nakuru is also home to rhinos
and the rare Rothschild's Giraffe. Dinner and overnight
at the luxury lodge or at a budget hotel.
DAY 11: LAKE NAKURU - MASAI MARA
After breakfast depart for Masai Mara to arrive for
lunch at the Camp/Lodge. Afternoon game drive till
evening when you return for Dinner and overnight at the
Camp/Lodge.
DAY 12: MASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE
Full day game viewing coupled with exploring this
spectacular Park. The Mara is the land of African
legend: Lion are abundant throughout the park, as are
the elephants, giraffes, and a variety of gazelle
species and zebra. Cheetah and leopard are also
regularly seen and, less commonly, rhino.
The annual wildebeest migration, one of nature's few
remaining wildlife spectacles, occurs in the Mara from
July to September where the big animals and their
predators are to be present in abundance during the time
frame of this trip. Several species of Bee-Eater, the
flying rainbow that heads the list of the Mara's birds,
occur in the reserve. As well as wildlife, the Maasai
Mara is also home to many members of the colorful Maasai
tribe who may be seen around the borders of the park -
Morans (warriors) loping across the plains, young boys
herding goats, or elders grouped under a tree discussing
matters of the day .A visit to a Maasai boma (homestead)
reveals this outstanding culture and customs. All meals
and overnight at the Camp/Lodge.
DAY 13: MASAI MARA - NAIROBI
After breakfast game drive enroute back to Nairobi with
lunch enroute. Arrive in Nairobi at around 1600hrs. On
arrival you will be dropped at a place of your choice
within the city.
